Classes

Lunch & Learn is a program we do in conjunction with the Tulsa Central Library in the spring and the fall where Master Gardeners make presentations during the lunch hour on a variety of timely gardening topics.

Each spring the Tulsa Master Gardeners teach a series of class for those wanting to become better gardeners. This year the 6 classes will cover botany basics, soils, vegetables, flowers, trees, shrubs, and turf. You can take one or take them all. We hope to see you there.

Events

Months of planning and preparation come together for four days in Mid-March for the HBA Home and Garden Show. MGs will showcase a variety of gardening ideas and research based information which will motivate you to become a better gardener.

Master Gardener Plant Sale -  Spring 2018

Each year the Tulsa Master Gardeners conduct their annual Plant Sale where you will find a wide variety of plants for containers, flower beds, and vegetable gardens including herbs, tomatoes, and annual and perennial flowers. The proceeds from this sale help fund a wide variety of the Master Gardeners educational and beautification efforts throughout Tulsa County.

The Master Gardener Garden Tour shows you a wide variety of gardening styles in actual settings. The homes featured in the tour are filled with wonderful gardening examples for you to take home and make your home more beautiuful.

Master Gardener Training -  Fall 2018

The Tulsa Master Gardener program is looking for active adults that enjoy interacting with people, get along well with others, are life-long learners and are ready, willing and able to volunteer their time to enhance the numerous Master Gardener community outreach programs.

The training program for new Master Gardener Volunteers is offered once a year beginning in September.

Insect Adventure - May 3, 2018

Each Spring the Master Gardeners and the O.S.U Entomology department present a once and a lifetime learning opportunity for 3rd Graders from Tulsa County. We have 20+ hands on workstations and learning centers with opportunities to get up close and personal with some of nature's most interesting creatures: insects. Register early as the attendance is limited and the event typically sells out!

This series of 6 classes will provide you with a better understating of backyard composting so you can become a more successful gardener.  Attend them all! Those who attend all classes and the required volunteer hours will earn a Master Composter Certificate.
