Herbicides are normally separated into two general categories: selective and non-selective herbicides. Herbicide drift can occur with any herbicide.
Leaf chlorosis, or yellowing of foliage, with cupping and curling, is a common symptom of herbicide injury in plants. Leaf stems may twist or spiral. Foliar spotting may be a result of herbicide spray drift. Overall necrosis, or death of tissue, is caused by a number of products and can occur in advanced stages of herbicide poisoning.
Read the label and avoid drift by only applying herbicides on calm days. Avoid water contamination.
