

Composting Class

The Master Gardeners began offering a basic composting class this Spring. The first class was held in March. Participants gave the class high marks for the information provided and overwhelmingly indicated they would recommend the class to others interested in composting.
One more class is being offered this Spring. It will be held on Saturday, April 11th 2026.
This course is for EVERYONE interested in learning how to successfully compost at home.
Participants will:
· Gain a basic understanding of the composting process
· Be updated on current methods of composting (hot vs. cold)
using compost piles, bins, trenches, tumblers, and vermicomposting, etc.
· Learn what organic materials can be composted and how to utilize them for the best results
· Hear about ways to maintain and troubleshoot problems with compost
· Find out how to use your compost to amend your soil and improve your plants
ClClass will:
· Be held from 10 am to noon at the OSU Extension Office
(4116 E. 15th Street, Tulsa, OK),
· Be taught by seasoned Master Composters,
· Cost $10
