Micro Dwarf Tomato

Micro Dwarf Tomato
Solanum lycopersicum
Micro-dwarf tomato cultivars are plants that typically measure less than 12-15 inches in height and can be much smaller. They usually produce small fruits in a range of colors and can thrive in containers as small as 1 gallon making them perfect for an apartment balcony or a small patio. Just like their larger relatives, micro dwarf tomatoes are annual plants that need full sun and rich, well-drained soil to thrive.
Bred since the late 1800's, there are a number of micro-dwarf varieties to choose from and several domestic and international companies offering their seed for sale to home gardeners. Seed packets for some micro-dwarf tomato varieties have also been donated to the Tulsa City County Library as a part of their Seed Library so that the community can try these varieties as well.
