Weigela florida “Sonic Bloom®”

Weigela “Sonic Boom®” is a reblooming variety that blossoms profusely in May and then again in waves through summer until frost. This perennial shrub typically grows 3 to 4 feet tall with a similar spread and thrives in full sun and well-drained moderately fertile soil. It features dark green leaves which provide a lovely contrast to the tubular pink to fuchsia flowers. The plant is attractive to hummingbirds and pollinators in the spring and early summer. It can experience dieback after harsh winters so regular pruning is recommended to maintain its shape and encourage new growth.
