MASTER GARDENER FOUNDATION OF TULSA, INC.

SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM



Objective:   Master Gardener Foundation of Tulsa, Inc. (hereinafter “MGF”) seeks to encourage students to enter into college studies in areas related to fields of study that enhance the MGF programs.  Scholarships can be a valuable resource for students seeking to earn a college undergraduate or graduate degree.

Scholarship Opportunities:   MGF may offer scholarships to deserving students pursuing a higher education in the fields of horticulture, natural resources, botany, ecology, entomology or related degrees.

Scholarship Amounts:    The amount of the scholarships may vary depending on the decision of the MGF Board of Directors.  The scholarships for 2026 will consist of two student scholarships of Twenty-five hundred Dollars ($2,500.00) per student.

Application Process:   Each applicant is required to fill out a MGF Scholarship Application.   The application can be found and completed online at the MGF website:  .

Funding:   The scholarship may be awarded on a one-time basis or based on successive applications over the student's course of study.

Record Keeping:   Detailed records will be kept by the MGF showing funds available and disbursements.

Deadline:  To be considered for a scholarship, all applications must be submitted by:  April 30, 2026.

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION


DESCRIPTION:     Master Gardener Foundation of Tulsa has two scholarships to award in the amount of $2,500.00 each to assist two students in the pursuit of their college degree in the field of study in agriculture or natural resources, and who demonstrate a strong interest in horticulture.


Eligibility:


1.     Priority will be given to students living in or attending school in Tulsa County.


2.     Student must intend to enroll the next semester or be enrolled at Oklahoma State University as a full-time student for the Fall semester of 2026.


3.     Student must have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 in high school or college on a maximum 4.0 grade point scale.


4.     Student must demonstrate a strong interest in agricultural sciences.


5.     Student may be requested to submit to an interview before the Master Gardener Foundation of Tulsa or the Scholarship Committee.


6.     Master Gardener Foundation of Tulsa reserves distributing funds directly to the student or to the college which the applicant selects for enrollment.


7.     Student agrees to grant Master Gardener Foundation of Tulsa permission to use their image, voice or likeness in photographs, audio recordings or video recordings on Master Gardener of Tulsa's websites and social media sites.


Instructions:


1.     Attach a copy of your current year transcript with the completed application.


2.     Submit an essay demonstrating your interest in your designated major.


3.     Attach two letters of recommendation.


4.     Submit your application to the Master Gardener Foundation of Tulsa.
