Hands On Activity
Ask whoever does the cooking in your house to collect in a bowl any food scraps that he/she would normally throw away in a day's time. See which of these scraps could be composted (fruits and vegetables) and which should not be composted (meat and cheese). Throw away the scraps when you are done or start your own compost pile!
